x yah kejar...aku ni still pakai socket 754 nya amd64 je...hahaa..still power...bleh je buat semua bende....

hmmm...tuela both amd ngan intel... nnti nak upgrade semua processor jadi dual / multi core...xde dah single core... gilo cepat berubah....

hmm intel pon dah decide x nak lawan mhz dah... lawan features skrang.... jumlah core, jenis ram, vt, htt, bus speed, csi, cache, z-ram, xdr....hahhaa... tapi model number intel masih confuse la...dulu main 3 angka skrang 4 angka.... lagi satu intel setiap processor yang kuar ...mesti new chipset n mobo utk processor tu kuar...pengsan gak... amd pon sama....integrated memory controller nya pasal...setiap pengubahsuaian penggunaan jenis memory kene tukar soket...pengsan gak....soket f utk opteron ura2 nak guna DDR3...

So it is no surprise that Conroe checks in at significantly less Gigahertz than its predecessor Presler - which currently tops out at 3.4 GHz and will receive one more update before it will begin to be phased out in the third quarter of this year..

thanks for the link..aku dah baca link tue..die tak cakap pun whether conroe will incorporate HT or will leave out HT..but from i've read so far conroe will be based on pentium 3 architecure not netburst..so they may incorporate HT and virtualization feature in conroe,among other things that will be added,but it could be either way..maybe dorang akan introduce HT in conroe or maybe not..Intel tak bawak kuar official roadmap/comment for conroe lagi..but it would be quite ackward to see they drop HT feature from conroe...just my 2 cent

okay kire lepas ni kalo org nak beli PC pun harga sama cam RM15xx.......tapi dapat dual core processor kan?...........pasal kalo x silap aku Conroe ni base on Smitfield........cuma clock speed ngan manufacturing proses dia org ubah skit.......tapi apsal intel cut down clock speed conroe .......sampai 1.66Ghz......bleh jalan ke multimedia kalo 1.66GHZ?........ni kalo customer aku menanya aku knaper intel cut down clock speed sampai 1.66ghz..........berbuih la nak bercakap.............

yer...instructions dlm satu mhz akan bertambah lagi byk berbanding p4 skrg ni..so more instruxtions per mhz means more performance...sbb tu downclock pun tara hal nya...lagi satu kalu kalu clock rendah cpu akan lebih sejuk...so xder dah performance/power/energy leaking pasni...

nvm lah, banyak yang confuse pasal conroe supposed to be Pentium 5 or Pentium D......

saya baru saja mendapat kerja di intel, validation dept. kerja di lab, main job function adalah test processor/mobo/ram & paling best sekali adalah graphic card & sound card. panel cakap, "u have the opportunity to test even the tech which is not in market yet"....

nanti saya update ok...

SALAH.. rasanya pentium dikekalkan namanya sebagai Pentium D dengan codename proc baru yang dipanggil conroe. Menggantikan proc codename prescott.

Tapi pelik gaks, sebab aku ada gaks terbaca yang intel dah nak gugurkan penggunaan nama "Pentium" nih.. ish ish ish...
