In a future where the war between humans and vampires has devastated the world, the Church created a secret society of Priests to fight the creatures. Once they were seemingly destroyed and the remains of the human race were reunited in a city contained within high walls in the desert, the Priests were left on their own. One day, one of them, simply known as "Priest" (Paul Bettany), is approached by Hicks (Cam Gigandet), the sheriff of a nearby town, who tells him that his girlfriend and Priest's niece Lucy (Lily Collins), daughter of his ex-girlfriend Shannon (Madchen Amick) and his brother Owen (Stephen Moyer), has been kidnapped by a band of vampires led by Black Hat (Karl Urban), who has also killed Shannon and mortally wounded Owen. Priest goes against the wishes of Monsignor Orelas (Christopher Plummer), the leader of the Church, and sets to rescue Lucy alongside Hicks. Orelas then sends a group of four Priests led by Priestess (Maggie Q) to capture him and bring him back, dead or alive. After saying goodbye to his dying brother, Priest and Hicks arrive at a vampire reservation, where they discover that the vampires have taken shelter in Mira Sola, a vampire hive where Priest lost several of his Priest comrades, one of which was Black Hat, in a botched mission. There, they are joined by Priestess, who is in love with Priest and wishes to help him, and they discover that the vampires are using trains to travel, slowly amassing a new army and intending to ambush the last survivors of the human race at their secret city in the desert. They also discover that the inhabitants of Mira Sola had tunneled through the mountain to the city of Jericho, where the Priestess had directed the other three Priests. Once in Jericho, the other three Priests are soon confronted by Black Hat, who reveals himself to be one of the Priests captured during the botched mission led by Priest, who was turned by the Queen of the Vampires into the first human-vampire hybrid. Black Hat kills the three Priests as his army of vampires slay the entire town. Priest, Priestess and Hicks find their trail and follow them, eventually catching up to their train. There, Hicks finds out Priest is actually Lucy's father; he was recruited into the Order by the Church right after Lucy was born and had to leave her and Shannon at which point his brother, Owen stepped up and became her father, never revealing this fact to Lucy. While Priestess plants a bomb on the railroad tracks in order to stop the train, Priest and Hicks board the train and confront Black Hat and the vampires as well as familiars, who have taken Lucy hostage. Black Hat overpowers both Priest and Hicks. Meanwhile, Priestess, after defeating some of the vampires' familiars (vampire slaves), who had damaged the explosives she placed on the railroad tracks, straps the bombs to her motorcycle and makes it crash against the train, which results in an explosion that engulfs Black Hat in flames, incinerating him instantly and leaving only his hat behind. Priest, Hicks, Lucy and Priestess crawl out of the wreckage and discover that all the vampires onboard have been destroyed. Priest returns to the city and confronts Orelas, claiming that the vampires have a new army and that the war has not ended. He proves this by throwing a vampire head onto the floor. But Orelas believes that the war is over and Priest tells him that its just beginning. Orelas refuses to hear Priest, so he exiles himself from the city alongside Priestess, only to discover that all the Priests have vowed to follow him into battle against the vampires. Pahlawan Asgardian mengalahkan Frost Giants dan merampas sumber kuasa mereka yang dipanggil, the Casket of Ancient Winters. Thor adalah anak kepada Oden, Raja kepada sebuah negara bernama Asgard, Thor mempunyai seorang adik angkat yang jahat bernama Loki. Senjata Thor adalah sebuah tukul besi. Dengan tukul ni Thor boleh buat apa saja kerana tukul itu memberikan dia kekuatan luar biasa. Di Asgard, Thor adalah seorang anak raja yang temberang dan angkuh. Kerana sikapnya itu, Thor telah mencetuskan perkelahian. Perkelahian kemudiannya bertukar menjadi perang seperti mana sebuah perang besar satu ketika dulu yang pernah berlaku di Asgard. Oden, bapa Thor dan Raja kepada Asgard menghukum Thor di atas kesalahannya. Thor di buang ke bumi lalu terdampar di sebuah padang pasir di Mexico, tempat di mana Erik Selvig (saintis wanita) membuat penyelidikan. Erik membawa Thor ke tempat rawatan, di situlah Thor berjumpa dengan Jane Foster lalu jatuh cinta pandang pertama pada Jane. Apabila beberapa minggu hidup di kalangan manusia, Thor belajar menjadi seorang lelaki. Tak lama kemudian, apabila mengetahui Thor berada di Bumi, musuh ketat Thor dari Asgard (adik angkatnya, Loki) menghantar makhluk-makhluk jahat ke Bumi dengan tujuan untuk menakluk Bumi dan membunuh manusia sekaligus membunuh Thor, namun kejahatan Loki di halang keras oleh Thor yang kini berubah sikap menjadi seorang hero, bukan lagi anak raja yang angkuh dan sombong.
