Nak Setup Sendmail

hi semua..

bole sesape bg tutorial skit camner nak setup sendmail supaya aku bole access email dr client.

aku ade:
1 bijik email server
2 bijik clent

aku nak access mail dlm network je..bkn melalui internet. sbb aku nak paham dulu cara nak setup sendmail nie.
harap2 ade yg dpt membantu

Distro ape?

Pre-requisite
- sendmail MTA
- pop 3 (popa3d, imapd & etc)
- firewall
- hostname (/etc/hosts)
- hostname --fqdn (/etc/hosts)
- at least 2x posix users on local smtp servers (avoid using root)

1) Suggest you test any distro server edition, for testing I would suggest slax server edition since sendmail can be run via live-cd.

2) No need special configuration, just make sure your server is running first.
$netstat -tulpn | grep 25

3) Straightly test sending email via telnet
$telnet mail.mydomain.com 25
$ehlo mail.mydomain.com
...
...
...
$mail from : [email protected]
$rcpt to: [email protected]
$data
.
TESTING SENDMAIL
.
$quit

If you managed to get all the steps mentioned above running successfully, you can proceed with Sendmail advance configuration such as multiple domain, users running on single MTA, mail proxy, recompile the sendmail m4 files and etc.

err..maksud ayat atas tue..create 2 users dlm box yg run sendmail tu kan?

aku guna CentOS..dah install lama dah..
aku make sure yg 'Pre-requisite' dah complete dulu..aku pun tak check sblm nie.
