Masalah Downstream & Upstream

erm...cuba ko cari pasal ni kat mana2 forum...aku tau buat tapi aku tak tau nak ajar...hahaha...modem lain2 cara beza2...

basically ko tgk kat icon 2 bijik pc yg kelip2 kat tray ko...double click...click tab support...tgk address gateway...

taip address gateway kat IE...enter...masukkan username dan password modem (bukan streamyx) dan log in...tgk kat nombor2 kat status...cari snr margin dan line attenuation...

SN Margin (AKA Signal to Noise Margin or Signal to Noise Ratio)

Relative strength of the DSL signal to Noise ratio. 6dB is the lowest dB manufactures specify for modem to be able to synch. In some instances interleaving* can help raise the noise margin to an acceptable level. The higher the number the better for this measurement.

> 6dB or below is bad and will experience no synch or intermittent synch problems

> 7dB-10dB is fair but does not leave much room for variances in conditions

> 11dB-20dB is good with no synch problems

> 20dB-28dB is excellent

> 29dB or above is outstanding

Line Attenuation

Measure of how much the signal has degraded between the DSLAM and the modem. Maximum signal loss recommendation is usually about 60dB. The lower the dB the better for this measurement.

> 20dB and below is outstanding

> 20dB-30dB is excellent

> 30dB-40dB is very good

> 40dB-50dB is good

> 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues

> 60dB or above is bad and will experience connectivity issues

Output or TX Power

How much power modem (upstream) or DSLAM (downstream) is using. Maximum recommended is about 15dB. The lower the power the better for this measurement.

erm,kalau rectify tu slalu diorg buat apa?

apa yg perlu aku inform pd operator custcare utk suruh dia wat report?

ape yang banyak? ape yang prolink? aku gune aztech 305E. cap ayam jek..

oosilap ye..aku ingat ko guna modem prolink..

ko try off modem pastu on balik, ada lagi error tu??

hah? error? error ape? crc errors? ades...aku bukannye pharez le tau mende2 tu. tape2. aku try buat cam pe ko cakap. aku cume nak tau cemane yg no 50 tu leh kurangkan lagi ke tak. sbb tengok ape yang pharez ckap pasal snr margin ngan line attenuation tu, line attenuation tu macam tak bes je.

good for you if you realize what is your rights :)

bleh nak dapat dedicated bandwidth, then bayo ler sewa harga leasedline. memang dedicated, 1 channel / 1 pipe memang reserve untuk ngko jeks, takder share dengan orang lain :D

pharez, aku takut bila wat report n tech dtg dia cuma bg resolution suruh aku downgrade jer... aku takmo downgrade pasal kerja2 aku byk pakai tenet so kalo downgrade 512 adeih... aku just nk dpt 1mbps yg ok jer...

mcm aku kata sebelum ni la...semua bergantung pada ko...kalau dia ckp mcm tu ko kena buat decision la...

adakah speed skang sama/kurang/lebih dari masa ko pakai 512k?

penyelesaiannya byk...depends la...patutnya hari tu tak ok lagi, ko kena teus report...baru diorang leh check masalah kat mana...

hurm,aku prnh buat report masa tu benda sama pastu aku call balik ckp lepas dia reset port xde apa2 perubahan langsung pun... tech yg dtg umh aku plak ckp aku xleh nk dpt full setting mcm 1024 tu pasal line tak baik... adeih... bila la agaknya diorg nak baiki kabel ni... membe aku kata slalu org telekom tukar 10tahun skali tul ke? kalo betul la kabel umh aku ni dah lebih 10tahun x pernah aku nmpk diorg tukar.

kalau ikut ko ckp hari tu, lepas diorang reset tu ko takde call diorang kan?apa user id meh aku check log...tak semestinya 10 tahun...ikut keadaan cable...kalau ramai org complaint di area sama, mungkin diorang akan tukar...lagipun tak semestinya problem cable kan?

yup yg masa tu mmg aku x call coz aku rasa mesti diorg wat cara sama, sblm ni aku dah buat n diorg cuma send tech n yg dtg tech sama jer... mengikut apa yg tech tu ckp RINTANGAN TINGGI kat tempat aku, ko rasa ini masalah kabel ke pharez?

Sedih aku xdpt nk pakai 1mbps dgn sempurna :(

rintangan tinggi...then what?mesti kena ada penyelesaian...takkan benti takat tu je...tu yang aku advise ko follow up lepas diorang reset tu...
