Developed in tandem with the Universal Character Set standard and published in book form as The Unicode Standard, Unicode consists of a character repertoire, an encoding methodology and set of standard character encodings, a set of code charts for visual reference, an enumeration of character properties such as upper and lower case, a set of reference data computer files, and rules for normalization, decomposition, collation and rendering.Boleh dikatakan dengan menggunakan font jenis unicode, tidak akan berlaku sebarang pertindihan huruf-huruf yang ada dalam dunia ini.. sebab setiap huruf akan ditandakan dengan satu kod yang unik. Jadi dengan menggunakan kod-kod ini, maka apabila kita gunakan pada mana-mana teks editor atau web, maka huruf itu akan timbul... tapi bergantung kepada sejauhmana sesuatu font tersebut mempunyai kod huruf tersebut. Contoh font-font biasa yang ada dalam komputer kita seperti Arial, Times New Roman, Tahoma, Microsoft sans Serif Arabic Typesetting adalah antara contoh font-font yang mempunyai font arab dan jawi (6 huruf jawi yang lengkap hanya ada pada font dalam Sistem OS Windows XP SP2(Services Pack 2) dan Vista. Windows bawah dari itu fontnya belum lagi diupdate ;-))Kenapa susah sangat nak percaya ?Kalau tak percaya, anda boleh buka Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Character map... Sila browse kod huruf yang terdapat dalam setiap font.Cuma,Font-font standard tu takdelah cantik seperti font-font yang disediakan oleh annamir kita ni..
