Hai semua....saya baru disini...nak tanya ni......

Pentium III 664 Mhz

RAM 128

Hardisk 10 gig

itu konigurasi kom saya......agak slow....apa yang saya perlu buat untuk tambah kelajuan

sebenarnya kom saya yang lama dah rosak so beli jer CPU murah2 ni...tapi tulahh slow

Kom saya yang dulu ada barang yang masih boleh digunakan lagi....dan rasanya RAM pun boleh guna lagi...Hardisk pun maybe ok....sebab saya ada hantar kedai dia kata kom saya yang rosak tu maybe rosak motherboard atau cpu (mikroprosessor)....so kalau saya pasang RAM (128) yang lama ni ke komputer yang ok ni.....agak2 boleh laju tak....atau ada sebarang masalah.....dan kalau nak pasang hardisk yang lama pun ok kan....

Ko tambah RAM 128 lagi......jadi 256 dah kira ok..........

Kalo stakat main tenet and and office works..........masih dpt lagi pakai......tapi mmg slow ckit lah dari komputer moden skang nih..........

Lagi satu kene tweak ko punyer Windows kasi laju...........kalo WINXP kita stripped services yg menyemak........and registry tweak..........

Yg lain2 kena tanya otai2 lain

nak tambah harddisk boleh...

tapi skrg ni dkt kedai pon jual hdd paling kecik (yg bru) pon 80GB @ 160GB

kebanyakkannya sata la (x tau sata?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_ATA )

tapi lebih molek ko beli hdd seken sbb hdd pata dah x banyak dah kat kedai (x tau pata?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AT_Attachment )

nak angkat sata boleh jugak, tapi kene beli dier punye converter la (sata to pata)

p3 tu cukup molek dah kalo setakat nak surfing @ buat keje office

tapi lagi molek kalo tambah lagi RAM sekurang2nya 256MB @ 512MB

rasanya motherboard (sini akronim motherboard = mobo) pki RAM PC133 @ DDR

RAM jenis tu skrg mahal2....

so.. kene la rajin2 pegi surf cari barang seken (samada putera.com @ lyn)

my computer --> properties , kemudia g tab adavance --> performance --> pilih adjust for best performance setting . ok

kalo mobo/motherboard/mainboard ni zaman intel pentium 3 ni stahu aku la...die pakai RAM jenis PC100.. RAM jenis ni dh tk jual rasenye..kalo ade pung 2nd hand hardware la...kalo jenis PC133 mmg ade jual dn mahal skarg sbb kilang dh tk kuar lagik.. kalo ade jual pung yg 512mb..tp mobo untuk intel pentium 3 ni stahu aku tk support 512mb..tp die hanye detect paling tinggi 256. itupun nasib..ni pengalaman aku la...aku dh byk kali buat PC2 lame ni...kadang2 nk menangis aku nk carik hardware untuk natang2 ni sume...tp ko cube la yg trbaik...kene rajin tanye member2 yg ade PC lame yg dh humban blakang rumah tk pakai bole la mntk barang die...

a)Proformance Increase through My Computer

Easy enough tweak to usually find out about it on your own, but still, some of use still don't find it right away. So here it is:

1: Start > Right Click on My Computer and select properties.

2: Click on the "Advanced" tab

3: See the "Perfomance" section? Click "Settings"

4: Disable the following:

Fade or slide menus into view

Fade or slide ToolTips into view

Fade out menu items after clicking

b)DISABLE UNNECESSARY SERVICES

Because Windows XP has to be all things to all people it has many services running that take up system resources that you will never need. Below is a list of services that can be disabled on most machines:

To disable these services:

Go to Start and then Run and type "services.msc"

Doubleclick on the service you want to change

Change the startup type to 'Disable"

c)TURN OFF SYSTEM RESTORE

System Restore can be a useful if your computer is having problems, however storing all the restore points can literally take up Gigabytes of space on your hard drive. To turn off System Restore:

Open Control Panel

Click on Performance and Maintenance

Click on System

Click on the System Restore tab

Tick 'Turn off System Restore on All Drives'

Click 'Ok'

d)DISABLE SYSTEM SOUNDS

Surprisingly, the beeps that your computer makes for various system sounds can slow it down, particularly at startup and shut-down. To fix this turn off the system sounds:

Open Control Panel

Click Sounds and Audio Devices

Check Place volume icon in taskbar

Click Sounds Tab

Choose "No Sounds" for the Sound Scheme

Click "No"

Click "Apply"

Click "OK"

e)IMPROVE XP SHUTDOWN SPEED

This tweak reduces the time XP waits before automatically closing any running programs when you give it the command to shutdown.

Go to Start then select Run

Type 'Regedit' and click ok

Find 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\'

Select 'WaitToKillAppTimeout'

Right click and select 'Modify'

Change the value to '1000'

Click 'OK'

Now select 'HungAppTimeout'

Right click and select 'Modify'

Change the value to '1000'

Click 'OK'

Now find 'HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop'

Select 'WaitToKillAppTimeout'

Right click and select 'Modify'

Change the value to '1000'

Click 'OK'

Now find 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\'

Select 'WaitToKillServiceTimeout'

Right click and select 'Modify'

Change the value to '1000'

f)DISABLE PREFETCH ON LOW MEMORY SYSTEMS

Prefetch is designed to speed up program launching by preloading programs into memory - not a good idea is memory is in short supply, as it can make programs hang. To disable prefetch:

1. Click 'Start' then 'Run'

2. Type in 'Regedit' then click 'Ok'

3. Navigate to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters\'

4. Right-click on "EnablePrefetcher" and set the value to '0'

5. Reboot.

g)MAKE YOUR MENUS LOAD FASTER

This is one of my favourite tweaks as it makes a huge difference to how fast your machine will 'feel'. What this tweak does is remove the slight delay between clicking on a menu and XP displaying the menu.

Go to Start then Run

Type 'Regedit' then click 'Ok'

Find "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\"

Select "MenuShowDelay"

Right click and select "Modify'

Reduce the number to around "100"

This is the delay time before a menu is opened. You can set it to "0" but it can make windows really hard to use as menus will open if you just look at them - well move your mouse over them anyway. I tend to go for anywhere between 50-150 depending on my mood

konfigurasi kom aku ni agak2 effect pada kelajuan internet aku gak kerr....sebab aku 1st time on tenet...dia akan putus...try kali kedua baru dia ok....ker aku punya modem yang prob

emm aku sebelum nie guna pentium III 450 mhz..RAM PC100 128 mb dan Hd 20gig memang berat sikit bila guna WinXP..memang Pc lama nie lambat sikit nak buka Page2 internet explorer..rasanya modem takda masalah la tu.. kalau ko nak tau ko guna RAM jenis apa ko try buka keluar RAM tgk kat label..kalau nak tau PC 100 atau PC133..elok ko upgrade RAM mesti laju nya..Ko try tgk RAM apa..mana tau aku boleh tolong..Rasanya RAM lama aku nie ada lagi kot..kalau tak kena rembat la.hehe.

thanks...tp aku ada masalah nak buka casing dia ni pula....jenis dekstop...fujitsu tuuu....tak tau nak tarik ker atau cungkil kot mana...tapi nanti aku try...bila ada masa dan kelapangan....buat masa ni pki jer la dulu......
