One (1) paid (Graduate) Research Assistant position available under E-Science (MOSTI) research grant
in Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM).

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Area : Information Security (Malware and Virus)
Task : To develop a prototype automated application able to detect, capture, store and study suspicious
file in an organization’s network.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• The RA must help the project leader/members in all works associated with the research (RA is recommended to register for Master’s by research with UPNM; potentially complete it in 12
months)
• The salary is based on qualifications.
• The period of term will be 12 months.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A good Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT (CGPA > 3.0)
• Proficient in computer security, computer and network programming ( familiar with C++, Python,
Linux/Windows OS, IDS and packet capture technology )
• Self-motivated, requires minimal supervision and willing to learn.

Salary RM1500/mth negotiable based on qualification and experience.
