Dvd Burner Prob

Recommended Posts

A'kum..I've just bought a Pioneer DVR-A09XLA DVD Burner...after installing it, i noticed that my system loads a little bit slower than before...it happens EVERY time my system boots up...When i put a CDROM/DVDROM in the DVD Burner, it took some times to read it and sometimes my PC hangs~! I even updated the firmware to v1.09..but still the problem wont go away...I believe that i installed it correctly since i have built quite a few PCs before.................but none with a DVD burners..so, this is my first experience in installing a DVD Burner..Anyway, How do i fix the problem?

My system specs:

WinXP Professional SP 2 + all the most current updates/patches, P4 2.80E GHz, MSI 865PE Neo2-P Platinum Edition (MS-6728 2.00), Asus CRW-5232AS, Pioneer DVR-A09XLA, 2x Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 SATA 80GB, Corsair Valueselect Dual-DDR400 256MB CL2.5 (512MB total), Leadtek Winfast A350XT C2 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT 128MB DDR, Coolermaster 350W truepower and I didnt Overclock my PC whatsoever..

Please help me....and thank u in advance..
