Recommended Posts

Aku jumper satu file tuh kat tnent

While these procedures are easy, you should throughly read and understand

all the steps before you begin.

1.If you hvae to creat boot floppy from MS-DOS, you enter:

C:\>rawrite kern.flp a: <---boot diskette

C:\>rawrite msfroot.flp a:

C:\>rawrite repair.flp a: <---repair diskette

2.Insert the boot diskette and reboot your computer, you will begin the

installation. In case something goes wrong, look unformation in:

http://www.freebsd.org/handbook

http://www.freebsd.org/FAQ/FAQ.html

3.Finish the installation. don't exit the main menu.

Enter the main menu, and than select the "Fixit". You will enter repair mode with CDROM.

you enter the following command:

#mount (To sure your hard driver is mounted.)

Insert the repair floppy diskette.(repair.flp)

#tar xf /dev/fd0 kernel

4.finally, you exit the main menu by selecting Quit, remember to remove the

repair diskette. After that, the system will reboot.

Copy it to a floppy (using dd(1)) and you have a boot floppy that you

can mount (it has a ufs filesystem) and customize.

i've not try yet..

ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/release...pies/README.TXT

Jadi aku ubah sikit procedurnye.

Resepinya:

Bahan-bahan utk di download:

1) http://s94592085.onlinehome.us/grub/grub9.zip

2) http://www.lrz-muenchen.de/~bernhard/memdisk.bin

3) http://www.lrz-muenchen.de/~bernhard/sbootmgr.dsk

Cara-caranya:

######################################################
# GvR Sept 30th 2004
	color black/cyan yellow/cyan
	timeout=5
	default=0

title Default Boot on HD 0
	rootnoverify (hd0,0)
	chainloader +1
	boot

title Boot CD Rom
	kernel (hd0,0)/boot/grub/memdisk.bin
	initrd (hd0,0)/boot/grub/sbootmgr.dsk
	boot
7) Lepas tu ko pergi ke C:\ dan ko edit boot.ini; ko tambah: c:\boot\grub\grldr="Start Grub" kat bahagian paling bawah. EX:
[boot loader]
timeout = 30
default = multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
c:\boot\grub\grldr="Start Grub"

8) Dah siap. Boleh la ko reboot dan try.

Aku tak jamin benda ni berjaya utk sistem ko, tapi aku dah cuba dalam sistem aku.

Utk pengetahuan aje : kalau ko nak try freebsd, ko boleh try FreeSBie livecd. Kalau ko rase selesa baru la ko install.

Good luck

Ko boleh guna grub macam aku tunjuk kat atas dan tambah line ni kat menu.lst:

title FreeBSD 5

makeactive

chainloader +1

atau

title FreeBSD 5

root (hd0,1,a) ***bergantung pada hardisk/partition yg ko install freebsd dan jenis partition

kernel /boot/loader

Rujuk ini utk jenis partition:

Partition num: 2, [bSD sub-partitions immediately follow ]

BSD Partition num: 'a',Filesystem type is ffs, partition type 0xa5

BSD Partition num: 'b', Filesystem type is unknown, partition type 0xa5

BSD Partition num: 'c', Filesystem type is ffs, partition type 0xa5

atau ko boleh install Grub dari BSD.
