dekzorro 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 aku sekadar nak tau...Ms Access ni stabil ke utk simpan data yg besar, jika guna VB + Ms Access. andaikan penggunaannya utk 2-3 tahun...cam mana rasenyer ye??
Rads78 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Kalau aku memang tak setuju langsung utk Access utk simpan data. Memang tak sesuai utk data yang besar. Guna mySQL atau postgresql untuk simpan data yg besar (free).. dan kalau ndak support utk DMBS... try ler MSSQL ataupun Oracle
dekzorro 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 tq Rads78.. aku pung rase cam tu gak sblm nih..skang ni aku yakin dah.satu legi..aper maksud DMBS tu...
Rads78 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 (edited) DMBS?? typo error suppose to be DBMS.. Database Management System(access, Oracle, MSSQL, etc) ... as in MSSQL dan Oracle provide supports around the clock utk product dia while MySQL does provides support for customers who r registered (commercial users) to their support service. step 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 Ape ape pun.. aku nak tanya besar mana kor rasa file kor tu.. ader dalam satu juta record? Berapa banyak filed yang kor expect . Access (2000 and below) ader constraint file size yang limit up to 2 gig only. After that ader possible issue (ie. ton pages etc etc).Aku suggest kor pakai MySQL kalau ader cost issue pasal licensing.. Oracle forget it kalau kor tak mampu pakai MSSQL.. Oracle lagi mahal... bukan takat license jer.. platform dier pun costly. Belum citer hardware hehehe.STEP.
step 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2005 And by the way.. bukan nak kutuk sesapa la.. anybody use Oracle right now.. kalau bukan sebab dier run on unix, that mean dier kena KETUK KAW KAW punyer..kekekeke
dekzorro 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2005 ini utk pengetahuan saje...dlm pc aku ada oracle..guna utk blajar je..buat simple² database.
step 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2005 Hang dah try check berapa license yang hang kena bayar kalo hang buat tu Live for Production environment... Kalau takat Developer tu memang tak der hal la.. Aku pun ader Oracle, MSSQL, Postgre SQL, MySQL running on my PC... System ni semua kor kena try so kor akan tengok advantage atau disadvantage dier. And expose kor camner nak program straight to them with p-SQL or tSQL.Anyway.. bukan nak support Micrsoft but SQL 2005 giler cun....

Setahu aku MS Access ni tak support trigger. Tu je la disadvantage yg aku dpt detect kat MS Access nih. Bole explain sikit tak pasal DBMS yg lain tuh. Saja nak tau. P/S: camana nak guna tSQL ngan P-SQL? Database apa yg support utk benda nih? Edited July 11, 2005 by cade
step 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2005 Aiseh.. Kene kutuk kaw kaw.. ok la camni la citer.. satu processor license utk Oracle 9 i wil costs you $USD 15,000... whereas for SQL 2000 proecssor license is about USD 5000 only.. so ketuk kaw kaw la tu namanyer.Ni tak kire platform la Oracle license memang redicoulusly mahal itu sebab depa losing customer right now sicne people move to DB2/Informix for Uni based and for Windows Based people move to MS SQL or MySQL.Acces ni plak File system based sahaja kalau nak compare SQL and Oralce memang jauh sangat la beza. Basic functionality such as storing data tu jer yang boleh classify sama.. tools such as triggers, functions, stored procedures to extra feature for Server Based RDMS.t-SQL ni Access, Informix and MS SQL whereas p-SQL is for Oracle and somewhat similar to DB2. cade 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2005 camna nak gunakan p-SQL(Procedural SQL kan?)?, dimana biasanyer org gunakan benda ni? Bila? Kenapa? jgn marah ha....
step 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2005 p-SQL ni adalah Structured Query langage yang digunakan utk execute comman/query utk retrive data or perform action.Kalau dalam acces ni kire cam query la gitu.. tapi utk Database such as Oracle MSSQL, Informix, DB2 you pakai t-SQL or p-SQL in programming with Stored Procedure, triggers and functions. Even MySQL pun tak der stored procedure lagi so far yang dah release and dengar citer yang version terbaru ni insya Allah depa akan provide.Stored procedure.. Triggers.. FUnction ni plak adalah series of SQL queries put together to perform certain thing such as querying the data, update delete data and even execute some command to instruct the server to perform certain thing even deleting files, createing files, exporting data to files.Kenapa org pakai ni sebab Server dah compile semua query yang dah save in SP, Function, and Triggers so that means execution time for each object will be FASTER and more efficient. Hope thie will help.Kalau salah tolong betulkan.StepOrlando, FL, USA
