munir 1 Report post Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Assalamuaalikum.. Maaf saya post disini walaupun persoalan adalah base pd HDD hardware tetapi ada related dgn OS Actualy member saya ada run os centos5 Pyshicall HDD - 2 x 73GB 10K RPM SCSI hard drives (configured in RAID1 ) Tetapi bila view dalam webmin - Local disk space 62.48 GB total, 21.91 GB used Persoalan saya kenapa dalam webmin hanya view 62.48 GB as Total sedangkan actual 73GB x 2. sekarang seolah hanya ada 1 HDD sahaja. adakah sebab Raid ? Harap tolong beri penjelasan ok Terima kasih Edited February 23, 2010 by munir

Harap tolong beri penjelasan ok Terima kasih
salam.. as far as yg saya tau, kalau RAID 1, 1 HDD jalan dan satu lg mirror, so kalau pun 2 X 73Gb, hanya akan tertera 1 HDD saja.. shortage dan tak sepenuhnya 73Gb tu mungkin pasal masa installation dan formatting data, akan kecil sedikit dari hdd asal.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID
bigbird 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 hi Munir, kalau raid tu ialah software raid, kau buleh check kat /proc/mdstat. contoh command : cat /proc/mdstat , tapi kalau hardware raid selalunya vendor hardware tu ada bagi raid utility untuk manage raid system tu. bigbird 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 dua dua disk nampak identical ada kemungkinan raid, cuba run command ni lak lvmdiskscan harap2 nampak raid logical device. kalau kat server yg biasa aku access raid logical devices nampak macam ni /dev/cciss/c0d0p* (hp disk array). untuk tengok apa hardware yang attached dgn server ni tgk kat /etc/sysconfig/hwconf . BasicCX 27 Report post Posted March 11, 2010 Salam, Kalau HD configure guna RAID 1 (dua HD diperlukan sama saiz) - katakan 73GB x 2 maka saiz hard disk usable adalah 73GB kerana RAID 1 buat mirror pada dua-dua hardisk untuk fail safe in case mana-mana HD corrupt.
