Fixes the following error:

Problems that affected the game in various game modes when played in a resolution higher than 1280*720. Once implemented, the game can be played in higher resolutions than the one previosly without the same problems.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

* Additional Option in the Legends Lobby: There will now be an 'Upload' feature where players can upload footage of themselves playing in 'Legends'

- Top Menu -> Legends -> [become a Legend Data Load] -> Select server -> Select any lobby

* Additional Option in the Legends Lobby: The new 'Theatre of Legends' feature will allow players to view the uploaded footages mentioned above.

* Additional Option in System Settings: A new 'Download' option will be added so players can download any new In-Game Content available.

Q: Have the keepers been fixed? They, along with the game speed, ruined the game last time.

A: Yes, from what we have seen and also the comments we have read from those who know PES inside out, all agree that the goalkeepers are a lot better this year. They are much better and guiding the ball to safety or putting it out of play rather than parrying it back into the middle of the goal.

Q: Has the defensive AI actually been improved, so we don’t have a repeat of last year’s, ‘central defender’s parting like the red sea’, and letting the striker have a clear run at goal.

A: Again, much like the goalkeeper answer, from our own play and those of the PES experts, the situation seems to be more in favour of the defender. Also, in previous versions, once you passed the ball onto another player it automatically switched to the player receiving the ball even in a manual setting. Now the game has a true manual setting you will have to switch meaning you’ll have greater control over your teammates. Add to this the better AI for defenders plus increased difficulty when dribbling and you have a much more evenly balanced feel to defending.

Q: Has the game speed been slowed down this year? Last year’s speed was in all honesty, atrocious. If it is the same, or even close this time around, I don’t see myself playing the game.

A: Yes it has �" this was one of the most requested bits of feedback we got from last year’s title and this one has been compared to the speed of PES 5, which seems to be the version preferred by a lot of PES fans.

Pro Evo Live League UK has informed that PES 2009 demo will be on marketplace on the 11th September, same day as FIFA 09!!!!!

They also informed that the latest edition of the game includes a separate fully licensed Champions League mode including Arsenal, Chelsea, United & Liverpool. They had confirmed whether or not the licensed teams can be used outside of this mode, but neither has he said they can't.

Unfortunately on a less bright note, it would appear a lot of clubs aren't fully licensed, particularly in the Spanish league. Atletico Madrid being the one mentioned along with a few others that you would normally expect to be.

Best club football competition in the world to feature in PES 2009 as Konami secures exclusive UEFA Champions League licence

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd has announced that its PES 2009 title will feature the UEFA Champions League following the conclusion of an exclusive 4 year licence with UEFA. FIFA IS SORT OF SCARED The newest addition to the Pro Evolution Soccer series will be released for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and, PC-DVD on 17th October, followed by a version for Wii in 2009.

The UEFA Champions League deal will allow Konami to use all elements and attributes of the competition to create an exclusive UEFA Champions League mode within the PES game. The licence confirms Konami’s commitment to extending the series’ reputation as the definitive and most realistic football series available.
