Apsal Aku Xleh Install Ubuntu 6.10?

assalamualaikum...

aloo bro² otai smua..

apsal aku nk install ubuntu ni xleh ha?

aku da burn iso ubuntu 6.10

dan aku da buat md5 checksum smua tuh..

bile compare mmg sama checksum dia ngn yg kat tenet dia kasi tuh..

then cam biasa la boot..smua bereh..

then time boot tu..

kat bootscreen ubuntu dia ada beberapa option kan..

-start or install ubuntu

-start ubuntu in safe graphic mode

-check cd for defects

-memory test

-boot from first hard disk

pastu bawah dia ada ni :-

F1 - Help F2 - Language

F3 - Keymap F4 - VGA

F5 - Accessibility F6 - Other Options

* then aku pilih la start or install ubuntu tu..

pastu die kua la bootscreen cam windows yg gerak2 tu..die tulis ubuntu..

pastu tunggu dlm seminit dua camtu...kua screen itam...

senyap je,...cd pon x pusing...

then aku try restat...aku try pilih menu yg lain pon jadi camtu gak...

apsal eh?

aku tuka2 resolution2 vga dia tuh pon stil jadik camtu

atau nvidia punya GC mmg xsupport linux?

or mmg ada conflict sket?

and kalo bleh...

sapa leh ajar aku camne nk dual boot ubuntu ngn vista?

coz aku nk buang vista aku ni sayang plak..

utk pengetahuan, ni my pcs spec:

-Pentium D 3.4Ghz 2x2MB

-1GB ddr2 RAM

-nVidia 256MB PCi-eX N6200TC GC

-200GB Hard Disk (10 partition - camne aku nk masuk linux,nk kena delete satu partition ke)

-GigaByte GA945PL S3 Mobo

samalah cam aku...lagi teruk

aku dah burn kat dua cd berlainan. Sama jugak.

Bila time loading jer dia hang....cd berenti berpusing. Dah dlm 20% loading. Pastu aku tunggu dalam sejam tak gerak gak. Aku terpaksa off plug komputer pasal komputer dah memang tak berfungsi langsung.

Lagi satu kes cam ko jugak. Ni aku guna cd lain plak...kluar screen hitam jer..tapi aku punya tak boleh restart. Kena off plug komputer pasal komputer langsung tak boleh buat pape.

Semua key aku tekan tapi takde pape...

aku ase ISO aku yg xelok

aku da install smule

then da leh boot

dan da leh masuk live cd ubuntu tu

ada kat desktop die tu..

install kan

so skarang..

1-leh tak aja aku step by step nk install ubuntu camne..

2-camne nk masukkan beryl..

aku da donlod smua plugin beryl kat sini http://www.beryl-project.org/releases.php

cuma tatau camne nk install je

ok guys..aku da brjaya setup mandriva one 2007 dlm pc aku..

dual boot ngn vista..

aritu setup ubuntu 6.10..

tapi ubuntu cam manual sket dia punye sistem kot..

coz codec utk main mp3,video smua kena carik..

tapi kt mandriva ni smua ada...

cuma satu aku musykil dan surrender puas aku solve tp x jumpa..

apsal dlm mandriva ni..smua partition dlm window aku(ntfs) dia xleh baca?

tapi aritu time aku install ubuntu 6.10..selambe je dia baca partition window aku..

time aku kelik kat partition tu..

dia ckp camni la lebih krg.."U dont have enough permission to mount this partition"..

so camne ek?

mandriva ni pon leh guna beryl gak kan?

sapa2 leh aja tak?susa la ikot guide kat wiki tu..banyak sgt step..

Baca sini Mandriva Mount NTFS

ok..da buleh mount...cara dia camni :-

HOW TO MOUNT WINDOWS PARTITIONS ON MANDRIVA

1. Go to Mandriva Linux Control Center (enter root password if needed)

2. Click on hardware and then on Look at and configure hardware.

3. Highlight the hard disk you want to mount and click on Run config tool.(click continue on popup)

4. Click on the windows partition and toggle to expert mode.

5. Go to options and ONLY check this boxes (otherwise is wont work as far as I know)

umask=0

user

6. Click ok and save them then click mount point to make mount ponit (my is /mnt/xp u can make it whatever u want as far as I know) and then mount it.

There you go it should be mounted.

sebenarnya awak tak perlu ikut apa jer yg diaorang bagitau.. ia cuma isu untuk memastikan ia tidak bermasalah dalam pelbagai sistem pengguna. Tapi untuk menerangkan.. ringkasnya ia suruh awak tak boot into X. Saya tak tau laa distro lain, tapi dalam gentoo saya boleh gunakan kernel option "nox" kat grub lagi.. Awak biasanya boleh interrupt init process dengan key "I" dan kalau dia kata nak start xdm/gdm/kdm tu awak kata tidak jer. Atau awak boleh jugak pergi ke vc dan kill X dari situ. e.g "killall X", "killall gdm" atau "/etc/init.d/xdm stop" dan macam2 cara lagi laaa..

tp ader xsaper2 tau xcam ner nak download video kat metacafe tu?sbb aku ader try download satu software dr metacafe nie,tp ntah aper benda mengarut yg dia download.aku kat cc,so xleh nak memerap lama2.hrp2 pas download video tu,leh aku selidik kat umah nnt.

aku pun ikut guide ni sebab aiglx + open source driver tak berjalan dgn lancar. aku guna feisty, ada masalah sket sebab file beryl-xgl tidak disertakan sekali dalam package. oleh itu, terpaksa download package yg lama utk ambik file beryl-xgl

kalau nak cepat, just download package lah. tapi kalau nak install sendiri kena install development tool package dulu kalau belum.
