A' ah aku pun nak tau la.... ada org cakap tujuh MCP = qualified utk jadi MCSE candidate. Tp di certcities plak cakap takde prerequisites, just kena sit for 7 exams je. Kalau boleh bro polyfuze or anybody yg dah ada cert MCSE boleh explain skit2... aku baru nak mencuba MCP or CCNA...and still considering antara dua-dua ni.

Kalau tak silap aku,

- lulus 1 paper -> MCP (mana-mana, kecuali Office)

- lulus 4 paper -> MCSA.

- lulus 7 paper -> MCSE.

Aku pernah nampak diagram tu, tapi lupa lah kat mana. Prerequisite xde, sama macam nak ambil CCNP xperlu pun ambil CCNA. Nak ambil CCIE xperlu pun CCNP.

Demn! Testking ni sebijik siot! Yg nie ke "sumber confirm lulus" yg diwarwarkan oleh banyak training center? Kalau aku tau sebelum exam haritu dah score 100% dah aku sebelum ni. LOL Hehe...at least aku puas hati dgn apa yg aku dapat, on my own effort. Lambat skit je kenal testking nie... huhu.

Yup,testking tu la sumber confirm lulus kebanyakan training centre, sebab tu la bole tengok ramai bebudak even yang bukan belajar it/cs dapat pass exam tu,tapi yang dorang taktau ialah employer pun dah tau dah pasal lulus exam pakai testking ni, so bile dah dapat mcse or ccna jangan ingat future employer tak tanye soalan-soalan yang susah masa interview.

Dah bosan tengok bebudak mcse yang tak reti pape,nak tukar ip address pun taktau,ada lak yang nak create local account kat domain controller pun ade,budak ccna yang tak reti subnet pun ada,pening punye orang...

Thanks bro polyfuze and darkwan, but i really need your advice on this one...since I'm kinda of alone here (dan website microsoft bagi pening lagi kepala aku). Aku nak study sendirian, walaupun lepas ni ada company nak provide training kat campus aku. Target aku MCSA at least before graduate this June. Tapi tak sempat kot....so kalau lepas dua exam pun jadilah... since byk komitmen lain (duit poket pun dah nak abes ahah)

Target aku dua bulan preparation utk dua exam.. hehe the problem is aku taktau nak start dari mana ...banyak sgt examnya.

1. So which one is the correct exam paper - paper mana yg wajib, paper mana yg elektif and paling penting paper mana yg perlu ambil utk start MCP sebelum pegi ke MCSA? (and hopefully MCSE kalau keje budak fresh graduate ni tak kena buli truk sgt on the first job )

2. And buku apa yg paling best utk preparation? I was thinking of microsoft press or exam cram. Mana lagi best? And ada tak forum khas utk bincang MCP cert ni?

3. Haha.... kalau sapa2 rajin nak cite serba ringkas track yg perlu dilalui sebelum certified MCSA ... (and training yg wajib hadir if any) kalau boleh aku taknak masalah timbul tgh jalan.

Good to hear that you're taking steps to get yourself certified before you graduated.

1.Paper yang mandatory untuk pass to be certified as mcsa 2003 are :

70-290

70-291

70-293

70-294

so it is a good idea to take the exam sequentially to help you get a better understanding of windows server 2003 environment.So baik ko start dengan 290 before proceeding to the next paper.dont worry memana fresh grad keje pun sure kena bulinyer

2. Buku yang bagus is definitely microsoft press books,because some of the exam questions is taken directly from the book,so go figure the chances of passing the exam by reading microsoft press book compared to 3rd party book.Please avoid using exam cram books,it will only help you memorize but it will not help you understand the environment.However you can also read books from sybex or even download windows 2003 simulator from sybex.Just google it.I'm sure you will find one.There's a lot of forum discussing about mcse but you will have to pay to register to be on a good one,better save your money and spend it on books instead. You can even download microsoft official curricullum ppt for free

3. As with any other certification progress it it recommended for you to go any training available however if you're short of resources (i.e money) you can always self study with discpline.Just go through the module and lab practise in microsft press books and if you really understand what you're doing ,you should pass. If you're not confident you can always rely on testking for answers although it is not recommended.

Skang tgh survey buku mana paling best di amazon dgn download ebook sebelum beli buku yg betul. haha... it's very unfortunate to hear that,have you tried applying for entry level jobs such as helpdesk analyst?you might want to start there before looking for better job opportunities.By the way, where did you take your mcse?

naah, on 2nd thought i never regret it..skrg pun keja dah stable and walau x dpt apply all my knowledge sepenuhnya,masih jugak bekerja ngan komputer..huhu..and when there are problems with my pc, network etc, i will try to solve it on my own and never need to rely on the IT personnel..my boss even asked me to help him whenever he got probs with his pc..

got it thru SLG program and i went for training and exams at Informatics Center Seremban..

Yup,helpdesk analyst ni kire support level 1,frontliner dalam sesebuah it organization,handle customer thru phone,email and whatever form of communications possible.Fresh grad punye salary depends solely on company mana yang offer ko kerja,kalau kelly services for VADS,basic salary should be around 1300,for getronics should be around 1800,ibm around 2300,excellink around 1900.

but you wouldnt learn much technical things being a helpdesk analyst,but having said that,it would help you to improve you communication skills that will help customer fronting skills later in your carrer.

ako penah keje jadi sapot injinier level 1 nih,kat satu kompeni kat cyberjaya.Pada ako gaji dia bg leh tahan la tinggi bg ako yg fresh grad nih.Tapi 3 bulan je ako keje,pastuh x bole blah..ako x tahan bukan pe,keje da la shfit,coz 24/7 nak kn monitor server2 kastemer.Pastuh yg paling ako x tahan coz nak kn jawab tepon,lelagi time2 ada problem,da la ako ni mmg jenis x suke jwb tepon,maki hamun kastemer sume ada.Kalo jwb kol dr overseas lg pening,lelagi cam dr india...ckp inggeris,tp haram xpaham ako ape dia ckp.Kdg2 telekom yg wat hal..kalo xde problem,mmg keje rilek ler...tapi kalo ada problem,kena dos attack ke..mengangkang ler...so..pada sesaper yang nak menceburkan diri dalam bidang ni,pastikan korang ni jenis yg tabah..heheheh!!! gud luck

Assalamualaikum, sorry lama tak jenguk. Insya-Allah setelah dalam tiga bulan prepare serba sedikit, maybe July tahun ini aku akan amek exam 70 - 290 and obtained MCP. Lewat skit sebab skang aku dah keje (and bukan dalam bidang yang berkaitan dgn system admin plak tu), busy dan perlu cover banyak lagi teknologi J2EE yg super dahsyat. So tu yg lewat skit, study 2 in 1 (j2ee and MCSE lol). Once aku obtained MCSE aku akan bergerak ke bidang yang berkaitan. (Betulkah langkah yg aku amek ni? Macam tak kena je programming --> system admin, haha).

Anyway, aku ada sikit persoalan pasal exam simulation. Aku tgk banyak di internet, tapi aku nak clarify se'clarify'nya di sini mengenai bentuk soalan simulation.

Macam mana tu bentuk soalan dia? dari apa yang aku faham dari sumber di internet, dia ada simulation ms server 2003. Am I right? If yes, katakanlah aku tersalah klik pada wizard-or-whatsoever, adakah aku boleh patah balik (Back button) di simulation tu? And then boleh revise balik tak soalan yg kita jawab? Sebab aku ada sejarah hitam dgn cert java sebelum ni (soalan subjective drag-and-drop reset balik kalau kita tekan butang review, so habis semua jawapan reset)

And boleh tak bro polyfuze or anyone else bagi information serba sedikit pasal bentuk exam dia? Or any useful tips utk last minute prep? Thanks

You dont have to worry about the simulation questions,it's pretty simple and straightforward,normally they will ask you how to configure let say for example a web sever using port 8080 with some extra option required, and you just have to click and confiure based on the specs given, and any given point of time if you're not satisfied with the answer,you can always reset and re-do the question,no harm with that

1. Exam paper 70-290 ni ada total berapa soalan? and berapa percentage/points utk lulus exam ni? Tempoh masa yang diberikan? Adakah paper seterusnya (70-291, 70-292 etc etc) pun bentuk format soalan lebih kurang sama? And berapa soalan simulation yang akan kluar?

2. Ada cara lain tak untuk beli exam cert selain pakai credit card? Sebab kalau beli dari prometric kena pakai kredit card. Aku malas nak pinjam org lain punya since aku sendiri takde credit card.

3. Any last minute tips? aku baca di internet ramai yang fail first attempt, termasuk yang dah lama keje dlm bidang ni. takut jugak aku, duit dah banyak habis... aku setakat experience time intern dulu tiga bulan plus main2 dgn setup tiga buah pc di rumah aku ni boleh ke lepas, haha....

Aku ada terbaca MCSE for Windows Server 2008. Tapi cam lambat lagi je nak kluar exam, aku takleh tunggu =)
