Aku nak jawab sikit tentang ada error ICS tu. Pengalaman aku....cuma kat pc server saja yang ada ICS, pc client tak perlu. Kalau korang guna Win98, Win98se, WinMe, anda kena pegi kat start>setting>control panel>add/remove program dan uncheck internet connecting sharing tool tu...cuba la.

Aku nak tambah sikit mengenai ade user² yang komplen tak dapat Login Web management Modem

Pada pengalaman aku godek modem ZTE ni... sebab kenapa aku tak leh login So sebelum korang cuba nak setkan Modem Pastikan:

1) Kalau korang ade buat ICS(Internet Connection Sharing) pastikan buang dulu ICS tuh..

2) guna browser http://192.168.1.1

Masukan

Username: ADSL  

Password: expert03

ATAU kalau tak bleh yang di atas try yang ni:

Username: ZXDSL

Password: ZXDSL

)Pastikan CAP)

anda boleh setkan Ip manual kat NIC tu, cuma tu hari aku guna 192.168.0.XXX tu pasai tak leh kerana rupanya default Set NAT kat modem tu set antara 192.168.1.0 hingga 192.168.1.255 tu pasai tak leh login.. so pastikan korang set IP kat NIC bermula dari turutan 192.168.1.XXX dan jangan set bermula 192.168.0.XXX tu pasai dia gerenti tak leh login Modem tu nanti. Win2000 ni aku tak pasti sebab tak pakai, but aku rasa kau abaikan je setting DNS Tu... pasai setahu aku DNS kalau tak set pun still leh connect internet gak, cuma kau perlu setkan Ip address: 192.168.1.*** (Contoh 192.168.1.5)

Soli boleh guna english kah saya??

I want to ask after i set the bridging and router setting. Why when i open programe like bitcomet,kazaa,bittorent my connection will dc or slow like helll....

I check the firewall setting but its ok... all are disable. CAn giv me some tips on setting the whole thing again ???? i also using ZXDSL 831 and using a switch too.

Try to reduce maximum number of upload and maximum upload speed.

You could also use 1448 as your mtu. Googling on how to change mtu.

Why 1448? It's the optimum number for traffic shaping, at least for my system.

NOpe .... does not help. Its something wrong with the modem thing i am sure......not firewall to and not IP filter....just wondering whats wrong with the setting. Hope some 1 pro can figure it out and help me.... especially those who recover from this problem too...Thanks in advance!!

Okay, lets do the port forwading thing.

Log in to your modem/router setup webpage.

Find the NAT option under one of the tab, probably under Service tab.. There should be an option for NAT rules.

What is important in port forwading is your pc ip, protocol used by your soft. and port it uses. Make sure you check this value.

Check this link for port ranges used by several soft.

1)Bittorent as an example. Bittorent uses port range of 6881-6999.

Enter this port range: 6881(Destination port from); 6999(Destination port to)

Enter your pc ip or pcs ips:

if single pc (only allow your pc to use this port): enter your ip on both Local address from and to.

if multiple pc with multiple ip, enter the range of ip in your lan. Ex: 192.168.1.3(from)-192.168.1.10(to).

In protocol section, you either can use Tcp or just leave it as Any.

Other entries, you can just leave it as default.

2)Kazaa as example. Kazaa uses port 1241.

Enter both Destination port from and to with: 1241

Others like above.

You need to save this configuration and reboot/restart your modem/router in order for the rules to work.

After you login, click on Serivces tab.

Under NAT Options listbox, choose NAT Rule Entry.

Click Add to add a new rule.

Rule Flavor: RDR

Rule ID: 15

IF NAME: ALL

Protocol: ANY

Local Address From: 192.168.1.x (Your Bittorrent Client IP)

Local Address To: 192.168.1.x (Your Bittorrent Client IP)

Global Address From: 0.0.0.0

Global Address To: 0.0.0.0

Destination Port From: 6681

Destination Port To: 6689

After done all that don't forget to Click on Admin tab and then Commit & Reboot.

Make sure to click Commit then Reboot.

dah cube takleh jugak..bermacam cara dah..aku ade jugak router dlink..tapi tak connect..sebab sblm ni aku connect..memang boleh internet tapi network kejap2 ilang..tensen ma...

Aku nak tanya sikit... masalah kau nak buatkan Modem kau jadi Router ke? nak

dia auto connect sendiri ke bila on dan leh connect kat semua pc network, camtu? kau pakai modem jenis apa? ZTE ?

IP filter work similar as firewall...and offcourse it will affect how things work if wrongly configured.

Cannot delete the old 1..... because if i delete the old 1 my connection wont run. And here comes another problem....my MSN wont work now...omg .. this routing giving me headach!!!!!!!!!

You don't have to delete the old one, just create a new one.

You have to wait several minutes after you reboot your modem/router before you can access net.

But after i reboot it just relog the old setting....how do i save it first....even i press commit first and reboot.............NO IDEA...........i am feeling i am so dum...lol

You did submit the changes?

You did commit and reboot under Admin tab right? Not reboot your modem by switch off and on.

In that case, I can't help you any further. Perhaps you should look for firmware update or reset your modem and start from scratch.

It much easier to get a standalone router...that what I did.

I just test to add NAT Rule to my modem...Sorry .. No need To delete the Old One.... and I i can safe The new Setting!... maybe u dont reboot properly...

Follow My step:

1: Click Add to add a new rule

2:After Finish, klik Summit.

3: Go to Admin Page, And klik Commit & Reboot page

4: Klik Button Commit first and wait for second..

5: And Last klik Button Reboot and wait for your modem reboot.. ( u can see Your modem Light off for second.. And wait for DSL light Stop Blinking..)

6: Done. Now Go to Your NAT setting page..It safe ?

Thanks For teaching....juz weird i click commit firstttttt then click reboot. My modem just wont save the setting....very weird. Nvm i think its ok now my for my connection..works fine on my bittorent.

So 1 more thing b4 i forget. Do i need to set a new rule for every programe...etc kazaa,msn,mirc...... ?? Thanks for your help guys espicaly oshiri and MrOtai

Do you guys knoe where to find those port and ip address......i wan to find for bitcomet too......when i download more than 1 file the connection will not run again....so how to track port or ip ??
