hurmmm aku nak try setting utk webserver. tp aku dlm LAN skang nih. so, pc aku yg aku dah install redhat 7.3 tuh ada kat sebelah aku nih. pc aku pakai windows xp. kedua2 pc nih dlm LAN yg sama. aku rasa kalau nak publish masuk internet, tak dpt kut pc redhat aku nih, nyer tak? so, sebelum aku letak kat bilik server pc redhat aku nih, boleh tak ajar aku setting utk webserver & running sebagai "real server" tp dlm persekitaran intranet dulu?

28373 pts/1 S 0:00 /usr/sbin/apache

Kalo ader.....bukak port 80 tu.

Apache punya httpd.conf ko kena edit:

1)

# DocumentRoot: The directory out of which you will serve your

# documents. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but

# symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations.

#

DocumentRoot /var/www <------ubah ikut dimana ko bubuh webpage ko

2)

# This should be changed to whatever you set DocumentRoot to.

#

<Directory /var/www/> <--------ubah ikut DocumentRoot

Katakan ko buat homepage ko kat : /home/gengstapo2/www/index.html

Maka, yg dua kat atas tu ko kena ubah kepada:

1)DocumentRoot /home/gengstapo2/www

2)<Directory /home/gengstapo2/www/>

Lepas tu restart apache.

Ko test dulu kat pc tu; http://localhost atau http://127.0.01

Lepas tu baru test dari pc lain, guna ip pc redhat tu.

ip utk redhat nih yg 127.0.0.1 nak kene tukar atau tak? atau biar jek default mcm tuh?

127.0.0.1 ni adalah ip loopback...........sama la kalo kita guna "localhost".

Bukan ip sebenar system tu.

cat /proc/meminfo = informasi berkaitan memory

cat /proc/interrupts = utk tgk irq yg dah diguna

procinfo -f = realtime monitor process

free -l = informasi tentang memory/swap

1. /home/gengstapo2/www/index.html : nih cuma command line atau kene create bebetul direktori home, gengstapo2 nih??

3.

[root@localhost root]# /sbin/service httpd start

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 247 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:

DocumentRoot must be a directory

2. sekarang plaks, mcm mana nak ON kan Apache server tuh. aku dah run service utk samba nih. nak wat mcm mana lagi nih?

3.

QUOTE

[root@localhost root]# /sbin/service httpd start

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 247 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:

DocumentRoot must be a directory

-- apa maksud soklan no. 3 aku nih arr?? tak paham laa. explain sket.

# DocumentRoot: The directory out of which you will serve your

# documents. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but

# symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations.

#

DocumentRoot "/home/dzul/www"

#

# Each directory to which Apache has access can be configured with respect

# to which services and features are allowed and/or disabled in that

# directory (and its subdirectories).

#

# First, we configure the "default" to be a very restrictive set of

# features.

#

<Directory />

    Options FollowSymLinks

    AllowOverride None

</Directory>

#

# Note that from this point forward you must specifically allow

# particular features to be enabled - so if something's not working as

# you might expect, make sure that you have specifically enabled it

# below.

#

#

# This should be changed to whatever you set DocumentRoot to.

#

<Directory "home/dzul/www/">

#

# Possible values for the Options directive are "None", "All",

# or any combination of:

#  Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks SymLinksifOwnerMatch ExecCGI Multiviews

** so mcm maner nak wat nih? aku letak file index.html kat direktori "file:/var/www/html/index.html"
