Recommended Posts

Hello my friends here. I always get confused when to use 'by' and 'from'

for example

" I thought mine was good but i got destroyed by sublime skills from him"
or
" I thought mine was good but i got destroyed from sublime skills from him"

is that correct.?

OMG i hope so.

to add what Dominant Star has said...

'by' usually used for passive word...as if 'oleh' in Bahasa Melayu...
'from' usually used to denote a place, position..and also can be used to separate 2 things: 'you need to know right from wrong'...

if i'm not mistaken :D... Edited by betik

I'm not an expert in English but the sentence "I thought mine was good but i got destroyed by sublime skills from him" sounds correct.
