Sorry ada hal sikit.

SAMBA BOLEH NAMPAK semua pc server dan semua client tapi taakkan aku selalu kena add (search), dia bukan auto detect ke?. DALAM pc win ok jer nampak server samba sbb dia macam auto detect paling2 refresh aja.

Sepatutnya tak macamni. Aku rasa ada kena mengena dgn username/password.

Ko try set username dan password dalam windows 98...sebijik macam ko ser username/password samba.

Lepas tu ko edit registry :

Win98: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSETUP

Ko tambah 1 dalam DWORD value bagi entry EnablePlainTextPassword.

reboot pc.

root@server:/home/faizul# smbclient -L "ip_client"

Connection to ip_client failed

Sepatutnya ada output.............ni mesti kes samba tak tau mana nak cari. Buat cam kat atas.

tapi kat pc client win semua ok. cuma samba saja kena selalu add client. tapi share folder ok, semua boleh bukak.

bila aku scan.....mmg tadak apa2 , aku rasa sepatutnya dia ada mapping kan utk pc3/canon tuh.

Edit dalam registry windows 98 la.

Cari KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSETUP.

Kalo ko tak reti nak edit registry.......ko patch cam ni:

Guna apa-apa text editor dan buat satu file dgn nama : password.reg

Dalam file tu ko paste benda ni:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VNETSUP]

"EnablePlainTextPassword"=dword:00000001

dan save.

Lepas tu ko pergi Run--->type regedit--->registry editor akan bukak----->Registry---->import registry---->ko import file tadi (password.reg).

Jangan lupa buat user name dan password windows 98. Dalam control panel tak silap aku.

Aku pun dah lama sangat tak guna 98.

Jangan guna Microsoft Family Logon. Tapi guna Microsoft Network logon.

PELIK LAH. Aku find server kat find computer kat win98...tadak pulak.ish...atau aku kena restart komputer linux nih??hanya ada pc2 dan pc3 saja.

OK dah ada dah.....aku restart komputer server nih. baru OK...dia pening kot.

Setup samba ..............printer.

restart samab : /etc/init.d/samba restart

Ada satu benda lagi yg aku tak tengok........./etc/samba/samba.conf dan /etc/cups/printers.conf

Tolonglah post /etc/samba/samba.conf dan /etc/cups/printers.conf kat sini.

Aku baru buat experiment dgn XP ................guna printer HP.....takde masalah.....dgn syarat supply username dan password.

WINXP KAU SET PASSWORD TAK?? AKU LAANIH TAK SET PASSWORD.

SATU LAGI BILA AKU BOOT, DIA KEKADANG HANG KAT starting printing system service cupsd---->terpaksa aku reboot balik.
