I'm Edora. I'm doing project titled "Fingerprint identification and vrification using kohonen network". For image processing,I will use Fast Fourier Transform for my image processing. I did some research about it. For my understanding,I will use Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the fast algorithm for computing the Discrete Fourier Transform, to construct a directional image.These are the main steps for constructing a directional image:
(1) Segment the fingerprint from the background by applying the FFT in a local neighborhood and computing the directionality.
(2) On a segmented fingerprint, compute the directional vectors by computing the dominant directions in a local neighborhood.
(3) Find the core point, which can be used as a landmark for unified centering of fingerprints belonging to the same class, and construct the directional image centered on the core point

The problem here is, I do know the theory but I do not know how to implement it on my fingerprint image. Do you know where I can find free source code for my image processing using fast fourier transform?
